Councillor Stuart King, Mayor, Swan Hill Rural City Council
Cr Stuart King was first elected to Swan Hill Rural City Council in 2020, was re-elected in 2024 and is currently serving his third term as Mayor. Born and raised in the Swan Hill council area, Cr King brings a diverse background to his role on Council, and to his role as Chair of the Murray River Group, as a former farmer, qualified engineer, and local business operator. He is passionate not only about Swan Hill, but the whole region and the prosperity of its communities.

Scott is a seasoned executive leader with over 20 years of experience driving regional transformation across Victoria and New South Wales. As the lead CEO for MRGC Lincoln Chairs the CEOs meetings and oversees the Group’s general operation.
Executive Officer of MRGC
The Executive Officer of MRGC is Geoff Turner. Geoff has been the Executive Officer of MRGC since 2014. His role is to support the Chair and CEO and all members, co-ordinate the group’s meetings and advocacy activities and progress the activities and priorities agreed by the Group. Geoff has worked in State and Local Government in Victoria and in Local Government overseas. He lives in central Victoria.
